Musicians By Seashore

Our journey with music began long before Glen and I founded DaCapo Music School. We started as musicians performing violin and guitar duets, a partnership built on a shared belief that music should be felt as much as it is heard. In 2016, after playing together for more than 15 years we brought our vision to life, pouring our hearts into a curriculum designed to spark a lifelong love of music in every student from their very first notes.

While the world around us has changed, our commitment to nurturing each student's unique voice remains the same. Whether we are conducting private lessons or growing our music appreciation curriculum, we strive to blend classical foundations with modern expression. To us, teaching isn't just about technical mastery; it's about sharing the warmth and passion that music has brought to our own lives.

Our studio in Berario is more than just a place of learning; it is a home for creativity. We invite you to join us on this journey, where every heartbeat finds its rhythm and every student discovers the joy of making music their own.

Our Story

Our Dedicated Teachers

Antje Thompson
Glen Thompson

Antje Thompson is our piano, violin and theory teacher. She started playing piano at the age of 5 and violin at the age of 12. She studied music at the National School of the Arts with piano being her first instrument and violin her second. She continued a career in music teaching piano, violin and theory and performing in a violin/guitar duo at restaurants, corporate functions and weddings.

She heads up our music program, Upbeat, which focuses on teaching children between the ages of 4 and 6 the foundations in rhythm, note reading and so much more to prepare them for one-on-one lessons. Although she is classically trained, and believes in grading her pupils, she strongly feels that music should always be a joyous experience and not something that should be forced or become tedious for her pupils. Her goal is to always make sure that her pupils are experiencing music in a fun way that makes them want to play for their own joy.

Glen Thompson is our guitar teacher, who has many years of experience in teaching various styles of guitar, such as classical, blues, and folk. His expertise and passion however is for  song writing and composition.  Glen has an amazing way with his students, and not only inspires them but creates life-long bonds with them.

“Glen is a passionate and committed student and teacher who's love for music and, in particular, the classical guitar is nothing short of contagious. He plays from his heart, leaving his listeners longing for more. I believe he has a wonderful career ahead of him, and wish him every success going forward.” Fritz Buss
